Pointe Saint Mathieu is a protected natural site where the cliffs plunge into a wild sea, while on their edge stands an old 11th century abbey and one of the major lighthouses of the French coast: the Saint-Mathieu lighthouse.
It is also one of the departures, kilometer zero, of the road to Santiago de Compostela.
